On Sunday, 29 March 2026, the Sunday of Saint Mary of Egypt, His Eminence Metropolitan Nikodemos of Nigeria presided over the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Lagos, assisted by Archimandrite Fr. Cornelius and the Vicar General, Fr. James.
During the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence reflected on the powerful spiritual example of Saint Mary of Egypt, emphasizing that true repentance has the power to completely transform human life.
Special prayers and words of gratitude were also offered for Mother’s Day, honoring all mothers whose quiet love, sacrifice, and faith remain a daily blessing for the world.
