With great joy and deep spiritual emotion, His Eminence Metropolitan Nikodemos of Nigeria celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Palm Sunday, 5 April 2026, at the Orthodox Parish of the Holy Archangels in Neni, Anambra State, during his pastoral visit to this blessed region.
The warm welcome and love with which His Eminence was received by the parish priest, Archimandrite Fr. Benjamin Ezieme, the Church Council, and the entire local community were deeply moving and reflected the spirit of unity, brotherhood, and living faith that characterizes the Orthodox faithful of the region.
Particular joy and satisfaction were also expressed for the progress of the works taking place in the church and parish buildings, which stand as a fruit of the dedication, love, and commitment of the members of the community.
A special blessing was likewise the participation of clergy from the wider ecclesiastical region of Anambra, whose presence strengthened the spirit of fellowship, unity, and shared ministry within the Church.
With gratitude to God, the Orthodox Archdiocese of Nigeria continues its spiritual journey toward the sacred days of Holy and Great Week.
