On Sunday, March 1, 2026, His Eminence Archbishop Nikodemos, Metropolitan of Nigeria made a pastoral visit to the Orthodox Community of the Archangel Michael in Uli, Ihiala (Anambra State).
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated in an atmosphere of reverence and spiritual joy. The mission priests stood beside their Shepherd with respect and dedication, while hundreds of faithful, children, young people, and families, participated actively in the worship. Their presence showed that faith is not passed on only through words, but as a lived experience and a shared journey.
The Feast of Orthodoxy, a day of profession of faith and unity, gained real meaning through common prayer and the harmony between clergy and people. The presence of His Eminence was not ceremonial, but truly pastoral. This visit highlighted that when parishes remain united in the true faith and in mutual support, the Holy Metropolis of Nigeria is strengthened and continues to be a living and active part of the Patriarchate of Alexandria.
