His Eminence Metropolitan Nikodemus of Nigeria, on the occasion of the beginning of the BECE examinations of the students of Dormition of Mary College Nanka, sent a paternal message of blessings, encouragement, and spiritual support to the students, teachers, and their families.
In his message, His Eminence emphasized the great importance of education and the formation of young people with character, faith, responsibility, and hope for the future. He also underlined that examinations represent an important milestone in the lives of students and are the fruit of hard work, perseverance, and dedication.
He made special reference to the importance of the existence and growth of Orthodox educational institutions in Nigeria, stressing that Dormition of Mary College Nanka is not simply an educational institution, but an Orthodox college that cultivates values, faith, respect, spirituality, and love for one’s fellow human being.
At the same time, he emphasized that the Orthodox Archdiocese of Nigeria continues responsibly to invest in education and the younger generation, considering education an essential part of the spiritual and missionary ministry of the Church. Dormition of Mary College Nanka stands as another important example of the continuous care and concern of the Archdiocese for the future of young people and the local community.
His Eminence also expressed his paternal appreciation to the leadership of the school, the teachers, the parents, and all those who support with sacrifice and dedication the educational and missionary work of the Church in Nigeria.
Finally, he prayed that Almighty God may grant all the students wisdom, strength, peace, and success during their examination period.
